Daniel recently swept our chimney for the first time, having had other sweeps in recent years. Unfortunately our log burner and flue were condemned due to multiple failings and advised not to use it, which wasn't the news I was really wanting to hear or expected. However all the points that Daniel raised were spot on and it's fair to say that he is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. Daniels primary objective is to ensure that his customers are safe, which is very much welcomed. Subsequent to Daniels visit and on closer inspection it would appear the our flue may be corroded, and flue and log burner are now to be replaced (to the correct spec).

I’ve just had Dan over and have learnt so much in under an hour that I thought we were doing right but really, could and should be doing better. From changing the position of the carbon monoxide alarm (which I have verified online myself!) to guidance on burning fuel, I thought I had this down….but now feel better educated.
Honestly, a visit from Dan is really worth it and it’s clear to see that excellent standards and safety is paramount to him. He shares info in an easy to understand way and is incredibly professional.
